Release of new standards for the development of automated driving functions and AI

Important standards have recently been published or will soon be published that are highly relevant to ANDATA’s solutions and expertise. These include, above all,

  • ISO 34505 Road vehicles – Test scenarios for automated driving systems — Scenario evaluation and test case generation
  • ISO 21934 Road vehicles – Prospective safety performance assessment of pre-crash technology by virtual simulation
  • ISO PAS8800 Road vehicles – Safety and artificial intelligence

From our point of view, it is worth mentioning the fact that “ANDATA’s definition” of the criticality of traffic situations according to https://www.fisita.com/library/fwc2023-sca-054 is refered to (see [18] in https://www.iso.org/obp/ui/en/#iso:std:iso:34505:dis:ed-1:v1:en). Its compliant calculation is done with the SceneInspector (see [148] in https://www.iso.org/obp/ui/en/#iso:std:iso:tr:21934:-1:ed-1:v1:en). This is offered by ANDATA in the form of Scenario-Management-as-a-Service (SMaaS), which already takes the aforementioned standards into account as far as possible and provides essential foundations for the fulfilment of the aforementioned standards.
